Coaching engagements begin with discovery

As your coach, I'll facilitate the discovery into where you are today, what you are curious about learning and where you see your destination - both in the way you lead others and the way you live your most authentic life. I will listen, observe, reflect, teach, and challenge you so that your learnings will shape a strong foundation for leadership and upward growth.

Initial meeting (at no charge):

  • Determine chemistry fit and how to select a coach
  • Examine your needs and whether coaching is the right step toward your goals
  • Discuss coaching accountabilities, confidentiality, meeting logistics and the contract
  • Introduce the discovery form, to be completed prior to our first coaching session

Establishing goals.

Goals are important for both immediate needs and destinations further down the road. Action plans are co-created to identify emerging goals from each session, along with powerful, over-arching goals for your optimal future state. There is no right or wrong answer in this personal process of self-evaluation. Together, we'll develop your unique coaching plan, and together, we'll travel this journey of change - dusting your knees off if you stumble along the road and celebrating when you take flight.

First coaching session:

  • Review your discovery form and identify your professional priorities
  • Establish goals for your coaching sessions
  • Determine cadence, duration and timing of meetings

taking Action.

Doing more of what works, less of what doesn't.

Think of our coaching engagement as a meandering path, winding toward your ideal destination. Along the way, we'll define success, reflect on what is working and refine what is not. Practicing new skills along your growing edge is essential to the journey.

On-going coaching meetings:

  • Debrief on your learnings and practices since our last coaching session
  • Identify areas to focus on in current session in support of your overarching goal
  • Determine additional between-session assessments, practices or stakeholder meetings to continue building momentum

achieving results.

Research shows that it takes around six months of practice to create lasting change. A coaching engagement is no different. The duration of an engagement is typically three to 12 months, with meetings held once or twice monthly for 30 minutes to two hours.

Of course, every client is unique. Timing and cadence of meetings are determined by your own specialized needs and agreed upon by both parties. Our sessions may be held in your office, over the phone, or in a neutral, mutually convenient location.

taller. stronger. braver. make way for a new you.

I had a great experience working with Kelty - her approach helped me establish one overall leadership goal after identifying a common theme across smaller tactical goals. Working toward that goal has already had very positive impacts in my current role and will only benefit me as I aspire to progress in my career. I found the process to be comfortable, conversational, productive and most of all, enlightening!
